"Grow old and die"
I've always hated that phrase. It just sets an expectation that life pretty much ends when you hit the "not a kid anymore" stage. And while I'm nowhere close to being classified as "old", I don't expect to start wilting away when I get there.

It’s tough not to like Lance Armstrong. Even tougher not to admire him and what he’s accomplished. A discussion of his achievements would read like a real life Rocky story, but that’s not what this post is all about.

It's a year where we look back on the good times. Times when we were invincible and thought we would live forever.Forty is a year where we begin to realize that we are not invincible. Where we start to pay attention to this engine inside that keeps us humming.

We have seen a sudden drop in the number of "celebrity" pitches for miracle supplement cures. Most attribute that to the flood of lawsuits Oprah Winfrey dropped on forty different supplement packaging companies. But I guess you can't keep a good scam down.
